Resources for Nature-based and Place-based education (courtesy of Anne Stires, founder of Juniper Hill School

I had a GREAT Instagram Live conversation last night with Anne Stires, a pioneering educator in the field of nature-based education, and the Founder/Director of the Juniper Hill School, a forest school in Alna, Maine. Anne gave me a list of resources for educators and families. Here it is!

Here is the outdoor learning position statement (Inside-Outside: Nature-based Educators Network at insideoutside.org is an incredible resource for folks...). The position statement is attached to this email as a .pdf. Please share far and wide. It is also on the Inside-Outside website as a link from the Home Page banner. Sorry that not all the resources are hyperlinked...I am busy prepping for a webinar for Natural Start on the Safety in Nature-based Programming/Benefits of Risk-Taking. I did remember a few pivotal elementary books to include.
